Season of Invitation

For the remaining months of 2018, we will be joining many churches across our nation by taking part in a Season Of Invitation. Harvest Barnabus Appeal

We will be holding our Harvest service this year on Sunday 23rd September. We are thankful for Rev. Doug Cooney who will once again be our guest speaker on this day. As part of our practical offering, this year we are supporting Manchester based charity Barnabus, who have been providing life-changing support to homeless people in our city for the last 25 years. Life Skills Course

Our third Life Skills course, in conjunction with our work with CAP (Christians Against Poverty), will start on Wednesday 9th May, 2018 at 7:30pm at church. The course is a great way to learn about money management, healthy eating, practical skills, organising your time, improving relationships and dealing with the pressures of everyday life. One-to-one coaching will also be available for those that feel the need for more support. Each session will last from 60 to 90 mins, with community…

Colin Elliott & Live Issue

On the weekend of 20th May 2017 we were delighted to once again welcome Colin Elliott and his band Live Issue to our church. On Saturday 20th May, there was an evening of music and ministry starting at 7:30pm and finishing around 10:00pm with a short interval around half way through. Prayer Breakfast

On Saturday 22nd April, 2017, we hosted a prayer breakfast at 8:30am for a 8:45am start. Mike Kane, our local MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East, joined us on this occasion. We have run several prayer breakfasts over the past few years. On Saturday 12th January 2013, we hosted a prayer breakfast with our local MP Paul Goggins in support of retaining the present Millennium-long definition of Marriage in our country. Advent Bible Study: Because Of Bethlehem

During the Advent period in 2016 we ran a series of four Bible studies leading up to Christmas. These have been specifically written by Max Lucado to run alongside his new book ‘BECAUSE OF BETHLEHEM’. This series replaced the normal house groups that would normally take place, but was open to everyone in the church. Each Wednesday evening started at 7.45pm at church with the meeting opening with a short introduction on video by the author lasting between 16—18 minutes.…

National Day Of Prayer

On Thursday 12th May, 2016, we will once again be united with our brothers and sisters in Nazarene Churches across the UK in a National Day Of Prayer at Pentecost to intercede for the moving of God’s Spirit upon this nation and denomination. Part of that day includes corporate times of prayer at church. We have two times: 10.00am for one hour and 7.30pm until about 9.00pm for a time of corporate prayer and reflection. Jez Smith Concert

On Wednesday 17th June, 2015, we were blessed with a great evening of worship and testimony with church member Jez Smith and his band. Jez showcased his new worship album, Amazing Beauty, which was released earlier this year. We also heard how the healing power of God has worked through Jez and his ministry. Watoto Children’s Choir

At 7pm on Tuesday 5th May, 2015, The Watoto Children’s Choir will be performing their ‘Oh, What Love’ production at Britannia Country House Hotel, Palatine Road, Manchester, M20 2WG. Men’s Visit To Slavery Museum

On Saturday 22nd November, 2014, six members of our Men’s Group went off to visit the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool. It is situated in the Maritime Museum and is well worth a visit. Although historical slavery was abolished many years ago, it was interesting and sad to see how poorly the slaves were treated and to learn about the legacy left – which still impacts many lives around the world to this day. Jubilee Celebration

On Sunday 23rd March, 2014, we celebrated 50 years of the work of the Church of the Nazarene in Brooklands, Manchester, during a special morning service. The celebration started at 10.30am and Colin Elliott performed in concert during the morning. Project Romania Mission

Our Young People’s group have now returned from their summer mission trip where they had the opportunity to experience Romanian culture and work in Sighisoara helping with children’s camps alongside a Christian charity named ‘Project Romania’ The youth organised a wonderful presentation on their time in Romania during our morning service on Sunday 8th September,2013. NYUK Youth Camp @ Great Hucklow

Seven of our young people attended the 2010 NYUK Nazarene Youth Camp held at Great Bucklow in Derbyshire. A great time was had by all and the youth were very grateful for the support in the way of funds raised by members of the church which enabled them to attend. Many thanks to our former Youth Pastor Dick Eugenio for leading the group and putting together this review of the holiday.

George Hamilton IV Concert
