Our next Life Skills course, in conjunction with our work with CAP (Christians Against Poverty), will start on Wednesday 5th June , 2019 at 7:30pm at church.
The course is a great way to learn about money management, healthy eating, practical skills, organising your time, improving relationships and dealing with the pressures of everyday life. One-to-one coaching will also be available for those that feel the need for more support.
Each session will last from 60 to 90 mins, with community time first to chat and make friends. We will have tea, coffee and snacks and we aim to make it lots of fun! This course will run for eight weeks in total.
To find out more or to book a place on the course, please email Lucy Frost by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07926710736. There is also a sign-up sheet on the noticeboard in the church foyer.
We officially launched our work with CAP during our morning service on Sunday 15th January, 2017. Beth Prescott from CAP was our guest speaker and shared an encouraging message on the ministry of CAP and how the whole church can get behind our Church Support Worker, Lucy Frost.
We ran our first two Life Skills courses during 2017 and a third in 2018.
CAP are passionate about releasing people in our nation from a life sentence of debt, poverty and their causes. Through their services, which are all run through local churches, poverty is being tackled head on. The vision of CAP is to bring freedom and good news to people in every community through 1,000 CAP projects by 2021.
Since CAP started in 1996, over 45,000 people have been helped through their life transforming debt help. In this short video, fifteen people share how working with CAP has turned their situations around.
Please keep the work we are doing in partnership with CAP in your prayers.
