Whether you live near our church, or if you are in the area, you are very welcome to visit us. Our church building address is:
Brooklands Church of the Nazarene, Wendover Road, Brooklands, Wythenshawe, Manchester M23 9FN.
Travelling By Car
The church has its own car park, with priority spaces for disabled badge holders and those with limited mobility. When the car park fills up, there is usually adequate parking available on the streets around the church.
Brooklands is a district of Wythenshawe, which is a suburb in South Manchester. Manchester is in the North West of England, close to the M6 motorway, which runs from the Midlands up to the Scottish border. Our church is close to the M56 motorway, and near to Manchester International Airport.
Travelling By Public Transport
Brooklands is fairly well served by public transport but fewer services run at weekends so please check the Transport For Greater Manchester website for the latest information.
There are two Metrolink tram stations within walking distance of Wendover Road. The nearest is the Wythenshawe Park stop on the Airport line, which is a brisk 10 minute walk from the church via Ferndown Road and Wythenshawe Road. The Brooklands stop is on the Altrincham line and is a 25 minute walk from the church, along Wendover Road, Cranleigh Drive and Brooklands Road. Both of these lines have regular direct trams running to and from Manchester City Centre, 7 days a week.
The bus services connecting the Brooklands area have been reduced since the expansion of the Metrolink network. However, there are still regular services to most areas in the south of the City and neighbouring boroughs such as Trafford. Please check the TFGM website for all the latest service and timetable information. The church postcode is approximately M23 9FN (Wendover Road) if using the journey planner.
Here at Brooklands, we endeavour to make the church building and events as accessible as possible for all visitors and church members.
The building itself is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has disabled toilet facilities, located to the left of the main entrance.
The songs and bible readings are on a screen at the front of church and can be printed in large-type on request for anyone with a visual difficulty.
Sermons are recorded and available online to listen to and download, along with sermon notes where applicable. Our weekly update sheet is also available digitally as a PDF to download or print.
