National Day Of Prayer

National Day Of Prayer

On Thursday 12th May, 2016, we will once again be united with our brothers and sisters in Nazarene Churches across the UK in a National Day Of Prayer at Pentecost to intercede for the moving of God’s Spirit upon this nation and denomination.

Part of that day includes corporate times of prayer at church. We have two times: 10.00am for one hour and 7.30pm until about 9.00pm for a time of corporate prayer and reflection. These meetings will take place in the back hall.

We have also printed some prayer request slips; please fill them in and pop them in the box provided, which will remain at the back of church until Sunday 8th May 2016. There is a notice in the foyer about other churches having similar times of prayer. This is good to know that we share this believe in prayer for our times.

A dedicated National Day of Prayer has now been running for several years. We took part as a local church, both individually and collectively, on Thursday 5th June 2014 by volunteering to sign up to pray during a specific period of time on this day, between 9am and 9pm.

Each church and their leaders compiled a booklet of prayer requests for this day and this is available to download in PDF format by clicking here.

We also took part on Thursday 16th May, by running a prayer clock and signing up to pray during a specific period from 12noon to 12midnight.

Each church and their leaders compiled a booklet of prayer requests for this day and this can be downloaded in PDF format here.

The District Superintendent Rev. David Montgomery preached at Brooklands during our Sunday morning service on 12th May 2013 and shared the the vision for how the day came about and different ways in which churches across the UK were taking part.

Please continue to keep each of the local churches across the UK in your prayers.
