Welcome to today’s live streamed service!
Today as a church we get to participate in one of the greatest celebrations in the tradition of our faith as a group of individuals go through the waters of baptism.
Baptism is the sign and seal of a believer’s decision to identify with the life, death and resurrection of Christ and receive the new life achieved for them by Him. Scripture speaks of angels rejoicing in heaven when one repents and so we join with them this day in praise to God for what he is doing in the lives of those being baptised as well as our role in it as a Church family.
We will have the children remain with us for the duration of the service as it is important they are witness to this special service. There will be guests and visitors among us also as friends of the baptism candidates so let’s make them feel welcome.
We’ll also be receiving new members into the local church, so it is a double celebration!
