This week Pastor Mick will be reflecting on Paul’s words to the Ephesian Church in Ephesians 4:25 to Ephesians 5:2.
In this text, Paul continues his message on Unity by spelling out what a God glorifying church looks like in action.
He offers them alternatives, or exchanges, to sinful behaviours – truth for false- hood; resolve for anger; generosity for those who formerly were involved in theft; encouragement for and unwholesome talk; and kindness, compassion and mercy for bitterness, rage, slander and malice – all made possible as we look to Christ as our saviour and exemplar.
We’ll be diving deeper into this ‘Divine Exchange’ which took place at the cross, which we partake in at salvation, and which continues to work its way out in our lives and community as we live a life of worship as part of the church.
